Reb is still a confident boy - in his territory. When I moved them to the larger whelping room, he stayed in the wheping box, for about 5-10 minutes before coming out and then he was all over the room. So this tells us that when he goes home with his family, there is a high chance he will need time to adjust.
As far as cuddles goes, it is on Rebel's terms until he deems you worthy...once worthy he enjoys being picked up and petted for a few but has yet to cuddle...he is a more sit beside you ragdoll at the moment. Figure the more he deems one worthy, the more cuddle privileges they shall earn lol. Rebel already knows he is royalty lol
Wk 6-8
Rebel has really blossomed these past 2 weeks. Not only does he like to cuddle, I can now lay him on his back like a ragdoll. He does not go "limp" but this has been a huge step in trust for him. Reb has also adjusted fine to having access to the whole room. Reb seems to be just like his dad - once you have earned his trust, he likes to be treated like a baby but until you have earned his trust - it is all on his terms. Rebel's dad Lincoln was this way when we brought him home but after a couple months Link has been my baby x still is.....and when I say baby, I do mean like a human baby.....hold him like one and rub his belly
